Oxfam America - The Grow MethodDid you know, as a global community, we produce enough food on this planet for everyone, yet nearly one billion of us (1 in every 7 people) still go to bed hungry? This is shocking and overwhelming. Every day I am beyond grateful that I am able to feed my children. I share this gratitude with my boys and (try to) teach them not to take food for granted.

As I focus on my health and fitness this year, I’m often reminded how bizarre it is that I’m trying to lose weight and limit my food intake when millions of people are starving around the world. It’s humbling to remember just how much my weight loss is a first world problem.
