six flags great americaOver the weekend, my 9 year old and I spent the day at Six Flags Great America (just outside of Chicago). We went once before when he was little, but this was the first time we actually rode the bigger rides.

We weren’t ready to take on any of the high thriller rides just yet, but we did hit almost all of the family friendly rides, including: the Big Easy Balloons, the Condor, the Fun Machine, Bumper Cars, the Ropes Course, the Whiligig Swings, Buccaneer Battle, Spacely’s Sprocket Rockets Roller Coaster, the Dark Knight Roller Coaster, the Yankee Clipper Water Flume, and the Roaring Rapids.

After spending 10 hours at the park laughing and screaming, we attended a VIP media event in Hometown Square for  the premiere of Six Flag’s biggest event in park history… igNIGHT — Grand Finale

igNIGHT – Grand Finale, is a mesmerizing and immersive nighttime spectacle bursting with energy, vivid colors, brilliant visual effects, lively performances, fascinating imagery, and pure imagination.
