“I only wished I owned a Nissan Quest”
~ My Husband ~
How I took my family on vacation with very little money….
1. To save money, we decided not to go to Sanibel Island, Florida this year.
2. I told my mom we were not going to Florida.
3. My parents wanted us to stay with them in Florida and offered to give us enough Delta miles for 4 free tickets (thanks mom).
4. Contacted Nissan about test driving a Nissan Quest during our vacation (thanks Nissan).
5. Looked up how many Marriott points I had for a hotel room (thank Marriott).
6. Instead of staying on Sanibel Island this year, I used my Marriott points for the Residence Inn, just minutes from Sanibel Island.
Thank You Nissan!
I agree with Jamie, over at Blonde Mom Blog, that the Quest was designed with families in mind. It was crazy spacious inside, just enough room for everyone to have their personal space when we drove to and from the ocean and when we drove across Alligator Alley from Fort Lauderdale to Sanibel Island and back.
I wish I could tell you about the Nissan Quest’s 3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 engine, it’s continuously variable valve timing control system, it’s double-tipped iridium spark plugs, it’s independent strut-type suspension, and it’s electronic drive-by-wire throttle…but who are we kidding. I have no idea what any of that means.
What My Husband and I Loved About the Nissan Quest…
- The one-touch power sliding doors with auto-reverse feature
- The blind spot warning system
- The push button ignition
- The rear storage well (perfect for all of our fishing gear)
- The DVD entertainment system (perfect for kids during our drive from the Atlantic to the Gulf)
- Good pick up…to get us far away from the sharks we saw off the beach on Sanibel Island.
Overall, the Nissan Quest is a great family vacation vehicle. It’s truly a luxury minivan, perfect for any outdoor family vacation.

Thanks for linking to my review of the Nissan Quest! We loved test driving it over summer vacation last year.
p.s. haven’t been to Sanibel Island but I hear great things about it! I signed up for Marriott rewards last year as we usually stay at Marriott properties during my daughter’s travel soccer season. The points really do start to add up!
