Bridesmaids, the Movie, will be Released on DVD on September 20th

The hilarious movie Bridesmaids is being released on BluRay and DVD next Tuesday, September 20, 2011. If you haven’t seen the movie, here’s the synopsis:

“Thirty-something Annie (Kristen Wiig) has hit a rough patch but finds her life turned completely upside down when she takes on the Maid of Honor role in her best friend Lillian’s (Maya Rudolph) wedding. In way over her head but determined to succeed, Annie leads a hilarious hodgepodge of bridesmaids (Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Ellie Kemper) on a wild ride down the road to the big event.”

Yes, it’s HILARIOUS and the more good friends you watch it with the funnier it is!

In celebration of Bridesmaids being released on BluRay and DVD next Tuesday, Universal Studios sent me a Bridesmaids Party in a Box!

I’ll be hosting a Unbridesmaids Bridesmaids movie screening party in honor of my good friend’s recent engagement. Since she’s not having any bridesmaids at her wedding, we are inviting some of her good friends to celebrate her engagement and to celebrate the fact that none of us have to be bridesmaids again!

A Toast to the Bride

I’ll be serving Matilda’s Mojitos as we raise a glass to the guest of honor.

Ingredients for Matilda’s Mojitos:

  • 1 oz [yellow tail] Chardonnay
  • 1 oz Rum
  • 1/2 oz Mojito Mint Syrup
  • 1/2 Lime pressed
  • Mint leaves
  • 3-4 Lime quarters
  • Club Soda

Directions for Matilda’s Mojitos:

  1. In a shaker muddle mint leaves and Mojito Mint Syrup.
  2. Add ice, [yellow tail] Chardonnay, rum, juice from 1/2 fresh lemon pressed & lime quarters.
  3. Shake.
  4. Transfer to a glass.
  5. Top with club soda and garnish with a mint sprig.
