Today I started the 8-Day Yoga Detox Spring Cleanse Challenge that’s taking place on MyYogaOnline.com.  The focus of this cleanse is to eat a cleansing diet, eat less, and eat a minimal combinations of foods.

Basically, I will be…

  • Removing toxic foods.
  • Adding cleansing foods.
  • Eating consciously.
  • Adding more stress reduction practices to my life (e.g. like aromatherapy baths)

So far, I have completed the following tasks…

1. CHECK! Set an intention for your cleanse: My intention for this detox is to get back to basics. This means eating more core healthy natural foods and allowing my body to digest purely healthy and vitalizing foods.

2. CHECK! Drink at least one liter of fresh water today.

3. CHECK! Add 2 to 4 tbsp of extra fiber to your food (hemp seeds or freshly ground flax seeds are great options): I am adding 2 tablespoons of ground flax seeds to my smoothies again.

4. CHECK! Eat mainly fruit and vegetables, chewing thoroughly and mindfully.

5. CHECK! Chose a substance that you are ready to let go of: I am ready to let go of addicting white sugar.

6. CHECK! Watch and do the Day 1 yoga videos.
