Women Food and God – Choosing to Love My Body (for reals this time)

I am starting to connect with one of my heart and soul desires this year, which is to you treat my body like a temple. This has been a tiring yo-yo- journey for me for many years. Today, I am owning my part of the problem and saying YES to finally choosing to do something different… to love my body (for reals this time) no matter what.

I’m beginning this journey by listening to the audiobook Women Food and God: An Unexpected Path to Almost Everything by Geneen Roth…

Creating From Joy

Creating from Joy - MuseI’ve been way too serious lately, focusing on all of my to-do lists and outcomes. So this month I’m embracing more of my playful side by choosing to create more of my great work from a place of JOY AND PLAYFULNESS… no matter what.

Creating From Joy

I am choosing to let go of form.
Instead of focusing on the outcome,
I’m choosing to enjoy the creative process.
I’m allowing my inner muse to guide me.
GULP.
DEEP BREATH.
Yes. I am choosing to let go of form.

I recorded this 90 second soulful inquiry just for YOU…

SOULFUL INQUIRY:
What would you love to create from pure love, with no attachment to how it’s going to unfold – no attachment to the outcome?

God Bless You – Love Never Fails

Yesterday a man was watching me handle a serious temper tantrum while my youngest son was waiting to get his haircut. We were truly making a scene. I thought this man was judging me and that he probably thought I was worst-mom-of-the-year. As he got up to leave, he handed me a folded up piece of paper and said “This is for you”.

As I unfolded the paper…

This is what I read…

God Bless YouThe response I received on Facebook about this little note was AMAZING. Click here to ready all the Facebook comments. It was even shared 26 times!

Amazing, right?

God Bless You.
Love Never Fails.

So remember, you too are doing a great job. And one thing I know for sure… is love truly never fails.

Choosing Happiness – Inspiration for Your Soul

Choosing HappinessWow! I am bursting with joy right now. I am now a published author… an international bestselling author!

Yep! I just received an update from my publisher that my book ‘Inspiration for a Woman’s Soul: Choosing Happiness’ just became an INTERNATIONAL BESTSELLER {Thank You Canada}.

Four years ago, I decided to stand in my power, walk into the unknown, and say YES to life on my own terms. I decided to pierce through the fears that had been weighing me down for far too long. Four years ago, when I choose happiness over dread, one my closest friends told me “One day you will share your story with the world and inspire other women to follow their dreams”.

TODAY is that day. THIS IS THE MOMENT. I am beyond grateful to be able to share my story.

Choosing HappinessI’m honored to be a part of this sacred project along with 26 extraordinary women. Each woman, despite the trials and tribulations of her life, proves that true fulfillment is the result of connecting with her inner wisdom and making choices to honor the truths revealed there. My transformational story inside this book is title “Two Weeks’ Notice”… and you can bet leaving my corporate job played a role!

Celebrating the official birth of my book is exhilarating.

Choosing Happiness

The honest, authentic stories featured in Choosing Happiness will make you smile, cry, and laugh out loud. More importantly, they’ll prove that everyone, no matter her background or circumstances, can make the powerful choice to be happy.

The seven inspiring chapters include:

  • Happiness is… Making a Choice
  • Happiness is… Letting Go
  • Happiness is… Freedom
  • Happiness is… Forgiveness
  • Happiness is… Healing
  • Happiness is … Connection
  • Happiness is … Loving Yourself

Choosing HappinessAs my publisher Linda Joy shares:

“Every day, in every moment, we have the ability to choose happiness. Even in the midst of the darkest night, when everything is falling apart, that choice is still available. Sometimes, it’s not until we hit rock bottom that we see the choice before us – and sometimes, all it takes is a gentle reminder that we are powerful, loveable, and worthy enough to create our lives, and ourselves in the image of the Divine according to our souls’ plans for us.”

Bursting with Joy

I am bursting with joy right now. My life is far from perfect and I’m still able to create space to celebrate successes that happened this week.

I had two amazing video interviews this week where I had the opportunity to share MY STORY of leaving a corporate job that was starving my soul and choosing instead to live my juicy wild life that is now aligned with my heart and soul.

And (OMG) I received a UPS delivery with copies of the book I co-created with 26 inspiring women (the official book launch is Feb 11)!

I am now a published author.

I’m not bragging, I’m celebrating… because I deeply believe that if I let my light shine, I am giving other people permission to do the same.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” ~ Marianne Williamson

I’m so excited to be able to share the details of the book with you when it’s officially released on February 11.

Be Present and Full of Gratitude

I’m taking a break from creating this morning.
I’m slowing down and pausing all the manifesting/moonifesting.

Instead, I’m filling my senses with gratitude.
I’m remembering all that I am grateful for.

Are you spending a lot of time in your mind… creating, manifesting/moonifesting?
I invite you to carve out time in your day, to expand your awareness and quite your mind.

Remember, in addition to creating and manifesting/moonifesting…
You also need to be present and full of gratitude to receive the abundance you desire.

I’m using my sense of smell this morning to help me slow down.
Smelling sweet & spicy essential oils helps me get out of my mind and into my heart.

SOUL INQUIRY: What is your practice for slowing down so you can feel fully grateful and sense deeply into the present moment?

Compassion

Dalai Lama Love and compassion are the pillars of world peaceDuring this next moon cycle (November 22 – December 20) I will be diving deep into the world of compassion and incorporating compassion into my daily meditation practice.

Self Compassion

Christine Arylo defines self compassion as..

“Choosing to open your heart and being a loving witness to yourself, without judgment. And without condition, send yourself waves of kindness, understanding, and forgiveness that touch, heal and transform your imperfections, weaknesses, vulnerabilities and humanness through the presence of your unconditional love.”

I think of self compassion as the choice to let go of all self judgements – of loving myself and all my imperfections no matter what. I’ve been practicing self compassion for many years now and still have a lot of work to fully surrender my judgements over to compassion.

During this moon cycle, I’m choosing to have compassion for my inability to do it all, for my lack of patience, for my irritability, and for my tired bones.

I’m choosing to have compassion for my humanness.

SOUL INQUIRY: What do you choose to have self compassion for in your life? What does self compassion mean to you?

Being Vulnerable and Cracking Open

Being Vulnerable

Being Vulnerable

Last night, under the full moon, I gathered in circle with my soul sisters. This is my sacred time for being vulnerable. It’s my time to go deep, to reflect, to discover more of my truth, to share my inner wisdom, and to be truly seen, heard, and witnessed.

OMG! This is one of my favorite things to do!

Openly sharing my truth comes naturally for me, when I’m surrounded by supportive loving women who also desire to go deep, wish to share, and choose to be vulnerable.

When I felt called to share a soul moment I recently had, my MIND had a basic idea of what I wanted to say. I started sharing what was on my mind and then something amazing happened…

After sharing what was on my mind (what I knew I was going to say) my HEART and SOUL – MY INNER WISDOM – took over the conversation and started revealing things TO ME…. about myself.

I stopped speaking my mind + started speaking from my soul.

That is what happens when you’re being vulnerable.

If you have had this experience, you know just how powerful and illuminating it is to be witnessed by other women while your inner wisdom SHOWS UP and shares her great gifts.

For me, the greatest HIGH is cracking wide open in sacred circle.

Being VulnerableZoë B from SimpleLifeStrategies.com beautifully captures some of the many gifts YOU WILL RECEIVE from cracking up and being vulnerable…

Wise Words by Life Coach Zoë B…

By Cracking Open and Being Vulnerable, You Will…

“1. Grow as a person. If you don’t allow yourself to be vulnerable, how will you ever grow and develop as a person? Vulnerability is a vital component of self-development.

2. Let go of perfection. Wouldn’t it be nice not to have to be perfect all the time? When you’re vulnerable, it’s OK to be imperfect.

3. Leave the fraud behind. Instead of constantly feeling like a fraud, openly express your vulnerability and say goodbye to those feelings of inauthenticity.

4. Connect with others. There’s something endearing about vulnerability (like the kitten at the top of this post!) When you are vulnerable it’s easier to connect with others because you’re coming from a place of truth. Plus Why not even ask for help? You’ll be surprised how valuable it makes people feel when they are asked for help.

5. Increase your emotional intelligence. If you are constantly burying your feelings, then you won’t grow emotionally. By facing your vulnerability head on, you will naturally increase your own emotional intelligence.

6. Keep good company. Join other global leaders like Gandhi and Steve Jobs by embracing your vulnerability with open arms.

7. Be yourself! As Steve Jobs said, you’re time is limited. Don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Take this moment to be true to who you are and leave the mask behind.”

You can read Zoë B’s entire “7 Reasons to Be Vulnerable” blog post here.

SOUL INQUIRY: Let me know how open you are to cracking open and being vulnerable. Are you willing to go a little outside your comfort zone to rediscover your unique authentic gifts?
